The year I did it was hotter than hell - no shade at all apart from a short section by the airport. It's the only race I've done with a medical tent halfway up the course Shocked

PRICE PER MILE.

Oly tris are ridiculously expensive in comparison to a HIM.
Most HIMs, you can rob a few new bottles and stuff your shorts full of a dozen gels at the last aid station.

IM Copenhagen 2015 had 3000 competitors - and 200.000 spectators in town lining a 5k stretch (4x out and back course). It was packed 5 deep in the centre of town.
