My thoughts - yep, loads of jellyfish, felt some mild stinging for a few hours afterwards but nothing too bad (my team mate though, he got some proper GBH, massive stings all over his chest and severe ...

Updated course maps are available, several changes over last year:

- swim is now anti-clockwise
- transition has been moved
- bike looks the same
- the run now doesn't go through the pine forest ...

I'll be participating this year after spectating last year (withdrew a month before due to bike crash). I'd just add to what's already been said that transition is long (100-200m up the beach and then ...

Your times are a weeny bit slower for 5km and 10km than mine - for me that turned into 1:34:57 at Fleet a few years back so I'd say 1:35 is a great target.

I did it 3 years ago, it's not easy. The bike is 4 hilly laps on crap roads and the run course is off-road, has a steep hill, and is also 4 laps. I cramped pretty early on and had to walk that hill 4 ...

Got to say I found 2013 and 2015 the same - loud, especially out of T2 and under the bridge (...and then another 4 times). I was there as a spectator in 2014 too, it was wet but the crowds were still ...

If you're much hairier than average this may not be the best method but I've always used Veet. Slap it on, wait 10 mins then wash it off in the shower with an exfoliating sponge.

Just be sure not t ...

11:36 for me, 1:33 swim (so no fisticuffs in the canal by the time I got there), 5:45 bike and 4:07 run. Conditions were perfect I thought, and the support as always there was superb. Most notable fea ...

I'd be surprised if it was non-wetsuit - in 2012 it was 35 degrees and blazing sunshine all week before the race and that was only just non-wetsuit.. they measured 24.8 if I recall. And last year it w ...

2013 we had a howling gale blowing directly on our backs for the flat outward section along the coast, then after turning inland we appeared fairly sheltered from the wind on the way back.

The fir ...
