great replies from hammerer all I can add that in training for a marathon a couple of years ago it badly effected my bike power level dropped a lot

Hi Chris cant see if you have tried a physio and ultra sound did wonders for me but still took 2 months but i was able to cycle to maintain fitness

If your in the city centre from the quayside follow signs for the coast to coast cycle route obviously just do 9 mile and turn around lol
derwent walk is great but about 5 miles outside city centre
