Got to be faced.

I'm going to have to lose weight to succeed, not just because of power to weight but my lower legs are taking a pounding and getting injured. Weight in kg will be recorded here. Target weight is 75kg so not a vast reduction. Might try my hand at indoor ergos at lightweight as a reward !

To give an idea of the effect this has, if I did a 25k 6% hill climb at 360 watts power I would finish it in 58 minutes at 75 kg and 63 minutes at 82 kg. This spookily enough is the margin I need to find, without generating extra power, which I intend to do as well.

27 Jul - 82.5 kg
28 Jul - 81.7 kg
29 Jul - 80.7 kg
30 Jul - 79.4 kg
05 Aug - 80.6 kg
08 Aug - 79.5 kg
09 Aug - 80.0 kg
10 Aug - 79.7 kg
11 Aug - 79.5 kg
13 Aug - 78.9 kg (lowest so far !)
16 Aug - 79.3 kg
24 Aug - 79.0 kg

Bike Time Trial Listing

AndyS made a good point - need to get out onto the road and practice high speed time trialing to get the bike right. Turbo sessions are not enough. Aim to do 1 and 2 or 3 each week now - on my own that is. My 3 courses with current times and targets are :

1. Richmond Park 3 laps large (33k) - target 56:30
55:00 (7/2004)

2. Richmond Park 3 laps small (16k) - target 25:00
27:00 (12/2003)

3. Bradfield - Thatcham - Bradfield (22.5k) - target 32:00
34:00 (5/2004)
34:30 (8/2004)
34:30 (8/2004)

Will be updated as I do more
