December Training Starts

have now decided to set a focus for my december to April training - see roll to the right.

Did a repeat of laste weeks brick, 1 hour bike (20 miles) then 10k run (48 mins). feeling a lot better than last weeks. tomorrow will be a turbo session and then club run swim weds.

After taking a week off training with Eurodisney and daughters operation was back into training today, 20 mile bike the 1 hour run taking 2 hours to complete both. Knees are a bit tender now Exclamation

Daughter is due to have ear operation next weekend, we had said we would take her to Euro disney before christmas, her operation has been brought forward due to someone else not needing one Exclamation hers should have been february

so as she wont be able to fly for a couple of weeks after the op we have had to bring forward the trip to Paris. Flying out at 7.00 am Sunday until Weds, hopefully back in time for club run session on weds.

Taking some shorts top and trainers BUT dont think missus will be too impressed if i go missing while were away, will have to play it by ear.

The break will probably do me good rest wise anyway

Half Ironman

I have taken the plunge and entered two Half ironman events. HIMUK on 15 June 2008 and Antwerp 70.3 on 3 August 2003.

Some people may have noted that i originally said i had entered Amsterdam 70.3 Exclamation .

Training has started already.

Reasonably confident on the swim, distance should be no problem. Run is no problem having done 2 FLM and numerous halfs. Bike is weak and that is where the training is being focused
