It's my sad duty to inform the world that my faithful Asics GT2140's have given up the ghost and ascended to the FootLocker in the sky.......

To make matters worse I have now found out that Asics no longer make them and have progressed the model onto the new 2150's. Not a major issue apart from the fact that there seems to be a lot of negative vibes coming from the reviews I have see on the new model. Higher arch support that is causing blisters being the main theme.

Do I get some, try them and pray I'm ok?

Or do I look at a different make? Mizuno? Nike?

Running shouldn't be this confusing.......

Well done on the long run. Hope you've recovered! What do you do with the athletes? Struggling to see how triathletes help dressage riders! (I'm speaking as someone who does both!) Sports psychology or something?

Hey KP,

I work as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and this particular athlete is a 3-Day eventer and I was meeting her and her coach to discuss areas that she needs to work on for her dressage performance. Basically it's looking at her shoudler/trap stability, core strength, calf flexibility and iadductor control.......all boring stuff......... Very Happy

A waste of my time and theirs.....
LIVESTRONG

Thought for the day........

My Grandad once said.......

"It's better to be pissed off........than pissed on!!!
And here comes #2......

Good old Geoff has also come on board as training partner number 2!!!!

We went out for a run this morning and immediately stumbled into a nice comfortable pace so looking good for the months to come!!!
Training partner #1 found

JJ has just agreed to step up to the plate as training partner numero uno!!!

Good lad!!
Thought for the day.....

Marmite.........yummy!!!
New training partners

Been looking at options for training and so far have come up with a couple. Nick & Geoff who I trained with a bit earlier in the year both seem to be crocked with niggles so my current thinking is to see how Andy (Middlebrook) is post his gall bladder op, plus getting dad out on his bike to work with me. The plus side of the latter option is that we can spend some time together plus the riding will do him good.

Char has offered to cycle alongside me now and again so that helps out too Smile but she is going to be busy with her training contract at Slee Blackwells.
Why I'm doing it......

Don't know......I guess I need something to focus on over the winter apart from trying to improve my swim and bike ....... and run!

I know that being 6ft 5" and 20st+ a marathon doesn't really suit my build, but that's part of it.

So many people have said I'll never finish.....

Lets wait and see shall we......

WEIGHT: 20ST 7LBS
BMI: 34.1
Who's helping me......

Well so far TEAM BEEF consists of Charlotte (significant other half) Andy Middlebrook (Physiologist and training partner) and Ocean Physio (to keep me in one piece)
