I would love to take full credit for the spot, unfortunately I saw it referenced online elsewhere back when it was published. Three years on I still find it just as funny.

That photo was pinched from a site referencing the article, I couldn't link to the real article as the time is subscription only now I believe.

Believe it or not, how dolphins can swim so fast has been something of a riddle for researchers since the 1930s.

But a new study has laid to rest one of the most vexing questions plaguing scientists about dolphin speed: How can their muscles produce enough thrust for such high speeds?

"It's been controversial for a while," said Frank Fish, a marine biologist at West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

Now he has the answer: Bottlenose dolphins can produce the power they need to swim circles around whatever they wish by using their powerful tails, new experiments show.

A slight tangent but did anyone hear the fuss about the Blackpool game at the weekend.

The owners have been in court recently and found guilty of various asset stripping type activities and have now put the club up for sale.

The FA felt the need to make a last minute change of referee to the one originally allocated. The FA claimed it was because the game had become more high profile so required a more experienced ref. but the general consensus was that his name may have had something to do with it.
