Both daughters have now got an Apple watch 2. Feel the need to keep up with them...makes me feel less old. Not really keen on spending 369 on one as I've only just bought a Garmin 620 which seems ok for now.
Anyone know of alternatives worth looking at?
For swimming as well.

It depends why you want one. If you want an Apple Watch because you want an Apple Watch, then you need to buy an Apple Watch. Or by a fake for a fraction of the price.

If you want a swim watch that also has some smart watch capability then consulting DC Rainmaker shows you should head for the Garmin Vivoactive.

It's pig ugly and probably due an upgrade fairly soon. But technically meets your spec.

Just stick with what you have - it says you are a fit, active person.

Buying an Apple watch makes you come across as a person with more money than sense, or no sense at all.

The Apple Watch 2 is fun and functional, I'll be updating my review in the gear section soon.

Plus you'll be able to exchange emoticons with your daughters with just two taps Wink

No wonder the world is f*cked when this is what passed for something important.

I'm surprised at you Graham. I thought you were a dedicated Apple man

My nephew has the Samsung Gear S Smart, it's probably not as cool as the Apple but it's probably as good
