sub 6 is a bike split mark to aim for. I have only achieved this once in 4 goes.

Pretty pleased with my efforts this weekend. First finisher in the Wiltshire Wildcat 81 mile Sportive - 1500m climbing, so pro rata similar to IM Wales. Average power of 222W and average speed 19mph, which I was happy with given the wind and shocking road conditions (potholes, floods, gravel and mud).

This was my fist outing on the road bike since November, for the past 3 weeks, I have been riding my CX bike on the road for some 30 mile rides, over the winter, I have spent a lot of time on the Turbo, but typically 1 - 1/12 hours max. I feel that the winter training has seen a marked improvement.

I believe that a sub 6 hour IM Wales ride is possible - lots of training required, and lots more long distance rides followed by running.
