|
|
As per the title, do such things exist? My wife mentioned that she'd like to attend a yoga camp, to which I replied that I quite fancied a tri camp. A few days later she said she'd be happy for me to do something over a weekend, in the UK. Ok, so it's not quite what I had in mind, but it's a start. It's just that there doesn't appear to many, if any, training camps of this kind. Or should I be looking in to single discipline breaks?
Of course, I am also somewhat concerned as to her motives for "letting" me do something like this, particularly given I haven't had to fight tooth and nail to get it! For now though, if I can find something suitable then I'm inclined to test whether she actually meant it

We used to run them but getting ad hoc pool time was always a challenge. We still do by request but need notice for a pool and, in particular, a pool that allows video analysis. We no longer have our own accommodation but have a small hotel next door.
We have space on a week in France from this Sat...

It seems like a prerequisite that you have to have a terrible website

I was also thinking I might have missed the boat for this year, unless there was something for the 2017 post-season.

I saw this one, but it's six hours away. Kent is better for me - might be worth my while keeping an eye on RnR for 2018

Why don't you just get a few friends together and arrange a weekend away & do your own thing. Hire a cottage somewhere near a lake with some nice roads for cycling, and trails for running.

I had thought about that. I like the idea of doing something where the organisation has been largely handlled, including shopping/cooking. I looked at On The Rivet, and it appears that they might offer something that fits the bill for riding, in as far as they'll organise a weekend event if I can provide the minimum number of participants. Problem is that there's a strong chance that the people I'd consider inviting would likely prefer to hire a place and figure out the rest ourselves, or even crash at a mates place in Devon.
Maybe I need to talk the Mrs round to a long weekend at somewhere like Club La Santa, where I can sign up for tri-focused stuff and she can do yoga.
