Cold open water in Scotland in March? That's a shocker Razz

I'm sure it's a hard event but "UKs toughest open-water swimming event" is pretty much marketing BS Crying or Very sad

My all year OW swim buddy did it, he's 61, had no issues other then getting his face kicked in at the start. 7C is no problem, we swim down to 4 in January, did Chillswim in Dec in the 7s without wetsuits. Just acclimatisation, if you are intending to do this next year, do acclimatise - there were people jumping out of the water at the start and going home.
