Never a force in the classics, Strade Bianche and Milan San Remo both now in the bag.

Impressive.

They bought a one day specialist and ex World Champ. If you want to win a certain type of race, you pay one of the best in the business to do it for you

mismanagement: misuse of funds, lack of oversight, lack of prioritisation an abundance of stupidity....all guilty as charged...

But as regards riders being supercharged, then you'll have to wait around. Because, let's face it, that's all most people care about. The other stuff is just background noise.
Anyway, it was business as usual today at Milan, and well raced too. That's 2 in 2 weeks for the polish boy

thankfully i am not most people and i care about how money is spent in my name.....either Brailsford is honest but stupid or he is dishonest...

Ha. I love this idea that people have some discretion, control, or input about how government money is spent. I hate to disabuse you of this concept but it is one that is drummed up by newspapers to sell newspapers 'taxpayers money'.

It's not your money. It's the money the government has collected in taxes to run the country how it sees fit.

You can moan, protest, rant on the internet, or even vote at the next election.
But it's not your money and you don't have control over how it's spent.

Absolutely, but then they've got you by the balls. That concept that you have no say in how the country is run is drummed up by politicians and business leaders who don't want to be held to account.

Only if he's not stealing the place of a British rider.

Indeed, but broadly they do. Apart from once every four years when you can elect another bunch of people to run the country.

Or in extremis if behaviour is catastrophic.

Also reported that the Sports Minister was concerned about potential drug use in football.

No committee or investigation set up yet though.

the last bit of decent journalism, by the Guardian of all people, highlighted two things...one that the general lethargy of the population had reached extreme levels, and two that those supposedly in power had become both complacent and reliant on that lethargy...
