Wind cancelling device urgently needed!

If anyone has one lying about, I will pay top dollar. It needs to be in good working condition and cancel all wind around the rider so that the rider is left to enjoy a nice calm ride. Must fit into Jersey pocket.

alternatively, does anyone know which government office I can make a donation to to get wind cancelled for a 2-3 hour window every now again?

seriously though, is it just me or is this weather taking the p!5S?

You should come here then - no rain for longer than usual so the locals have been rain seeding for weeks and all that happened for months was wind increases to 20mph and only now it rained.

And kept being windy.

the "shed of suffering" has been decommissioned due to space needed to store our kitchen... rats. I will probably have to put the gazebo in the garden and pop the turbo in there.

Today I took the race bike out for a spin... much more enjoyable riding in the wind in an aero tuck rather than sitting up on the hoods on the roadie.

maybe I will live afterall.

I would be willing to donate to this cause as well. Wind affects BILLIONS of people every day! It's time we do something about the wind!

I tried this once, over-committed and ended up with poo crust in my chamois.

You lot should have been in Cape Town a couple of weeks ago - after that you'd never complain about wind again.

I was there! I was one of the few people to start the event too, but I turned back after a couple of km after nearly being blown off my bike several times. Loads of other folks had already turned round and were heading back towards the city. I thought I'd ridden in some windy conditions on Lanza, but it was just insane out there that morning.

We were booked into the finish line hospitality, so we were going to head there to attack the "free" food and booze, but it turned out that the wind had blown the hospitality tent down, so that wasn't an option either Rolling Eyes

The organisers had already had to chop 30km off the route because of protestors at the southern end of the route and there was a major fire in a township near Hout Bay that required emergency service access via the race route, so the wind wasn't the only reason behind the cancellation.
