You are evidently unaware that no EU proposed law can actually be rejected.

The choices on the ballot are only one entry - Approved.

And no country gets a say in what laws are to be enacted - the commission decides what laws we need and then tells the countries to approve them. If you want a law to do X and 27 other countries agree, and the EC wants Y then the only option which gets proposed is Y.

This is one of the factors behind Drunker getting riled over Brexit - he has never had a circumstance where he didnt get his way, and has never had to negotiate anything with another party which has a veto.

its gets in the way of his alcohol time if he has to work and convince - far better to instruct and get to the boozer quickly.

in the council of the european union the representative ministers use a qualified majority voting system...at present, iirc, the UK has 29 votes and, for example, Malta 3, which works out as a ratio of 1:15 per capita....democracy at its best...
