Hi guys and gals,

Ideally I'd be able to view my power output while racing on my Apple Watch 2, but there seem to be no Watch apps available. And I haven't had time to develop one.

My plan was to use my old iPhone 6+ (without SIM) at the race on Sunday, but so far my quest to find an aero bar mount has failed.

There seems to be a chance the Wahoo RFKLT might work, it seems mountable on aerobars, if I carry my fully function iPhone 7+. Reviews indicate the phone battery will last easily.

So...has anyone mounted a 6+ on aerobars?
Has anyone used a RFLKT?
Is there a similar cheap computer/display for P1S that will mount on aerobars?

Just an FYI, you can be DQ'd for using your mobile phone on the bike or run section of a race

Yeah, that's why I want the SIMless iPhone by preference.

Not sure a race official will take the time/effort required to confirm it is in fact SIMless before asking you to remove it or face a DQ

Maybe see if you can borrow a bike computer for the weekend ?

How do you attach it to the aerobars?

Depends on your aerobar setup but one of these might work

Personally, I'd get something that serves more than just one purpose. You could get a 310xt that would then be able to track your total race time etc. You can pick that up for under 100 new and then get a quick release kit. You can also pick up the 910xt for about 75 on eBay too, and that's a much better device which has all the training peaks power metrics (NP, TSS, IF, etc)

So I got a cheap bit of kit from a Decathlon in Dijon - 20

https://www.decathlon.co.uk/z-console-universal-l-id_8386353.html

It twists around so it can mount on the inside of an aerobar, and comes with a waterproof cover.

It won't win any aero/aesthetic awards but it's functional.

Unlike the PowerTap app I might add
