I've dropped an email to Enduroman to see if there are plans in place for 2018 yet, but are there any other double IM's out there?

Achilles... always takes forever Evil or Very Mad Doing your calf raises I take it Very Happy

Double in Eton? October this year would be too early (or rather, I'm too fat) but would be a great location for next year. I've not heard of it, who's the organiser?

Its Flat... (endless cycling round Dorney Lake) - so the extra padding will be useful so you dont get blown off your bike!

Plans...

do long bikes (up to 180 miles is recommended) - also do some long stuff through the night

Personally I wouldn't run past 30 miles - more risk of injury (maybe do a couple of 50k ultras?)

Swim - do some. Wink

There are some tips / hints and race reports here

http://www.tritalk.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27238&start=120

Also consider the location of the double - Brutal is.. Brutal (hilly, cold OW swim)
Double at dorney is pancake flat... so adjust your training accordingly

just dont follow my 2009 Double training plan Razz

Thanks for all the information Dave! Just had a good thorough read/study of several of them! Some of those Deca reports are terrifying Shocked

Seeing as you've successfully completed 2 and done also done a deca I might pm you with some questions if that's ok? I've no experience at all with ultra racing having only completed 1 IM myself, so it'd be great to get some insight!
