WIMBLEBALL BECOMES IMMORTAL
Following the departure of Ironman 70.3 from Wimbleball in June this year the rumour mill has been rife with speculation as to who would take over at the prestigious site.
Immortal Sport have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our new Wimbleball Immortal Weekend (23-24 June 2018) will cater not just for Triathletes but their families by offering Tristars Junior Triathlons as well as entertainment for the family and onsite camping.
We are also excited to bring to Wimbleball one of the newest races on the scene – Mixed Team Relays. To be introduced at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Immortal Sport are one of only a handful of organisers offering the chance to try this fast-paced, spectator friendly format.
Of course, the Immortal Half Triathlon will still be billed as the Main Event, and we are pleased that we have been able to ensure that Wimbleball Becomes Immortal.
The second new offering by Immortal Sport will see a weekend of Triathlon based events at Roadford Lake (31 Aug - 2 Sep 2018) on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. This fantastic location lends itself perfectly to Triathlon and the team have curated a variety of disciplines, routes and distances to ensure that all abilities are catered for – from a Full Distance Tri over the weekend, to a 10km bike ride suitable for the whole family.
Of course the original highly respected weekend at The National Trust’s Stourhead Estate in Wiltshire will remain firmly in the calendar at the start of the season over the weekend of the 12-13 May 2018.
The Immortal Sport team are thrilled to be able to expand their offering to these two new venues whilst staying true to their mission – Challenging Triathlons in Stunning Locations.
