It's my first time starting one of those "where on earth is this race going to be threads"...

Anyone got the foggiest where this might be.

Given the obvious failures in the past for an event like this in the south (near London) I'm amazed AND pleased that these guys are taking it on. If it does happen.

Was also mentioned at Holkham briefing.

My joke at the time was that it would be Henley, knowing the difficulties Challenge had with the locals, then thought again, it might not be a joke. The main reason the locals was objected was the road closures, I think if Outlaw managed the roads like they did at Holkham (no closures, but well managed junctions) they might be able to sell it to the council. If they did it would be a great place for it.

I've never done an Outlaw event but heard nothing but great things.

Fingers crossed it does materialise.

It's on their website:

New ‘Southern Outlaw’ event

We hope to add a new Outlaw Half in the South East. This will be close to London and will take place in September. This new event isn’t fully confirmed yet, but more information will be released in the coming months subject to the event being fully approved.

I won the inaugural Southend triathlon about 7-8 years ago.

Went along the seafront and they closed half the promenade for the bike. You ran to the end of the pier and back.

The locals were not best pleased Very Happy
