Very Happy hi guys has anyone who has had achillies problems had prp injections! I have had shockwave therapy twice and now I have had prp inj!
I had it 3 months ago and still I cant walk properly just wondered if anyone else has had this treatment cheers guys Very Happy

had achillies tendonitis, had it for 5 plus years did all the usual stretching ,eccentric did the resting and no running still no joy so was given shockwave therapy not getting better so had the prp injections instead of steroids as it was suppose to have a faster healing time because its your own dna, still no better and a lot worse .
iceing heating stretching everyday got my follow up next month Very Happy

Sadly not a great deal of evidence for PRP - witchcraft at best, negligent at worst...!

Many potential factors, differing relevance in each person. Be careful overdoing the heel drops, particularly important in tendon problems is compression. I prefer skipping and movements like that as an alternative.

Single most important factor is managing the load. It's normal to feel pain when you exercise - this just means you are loading the area effectively. But try and keen it under 5/10 if possible and when you find that barrier just stop.

Load everyday, little and often. Good luck.
