So been asked to do a 56 mile Aye up Yorkshire ride end of the month, not done much cycling, got up to 40 miles on the wattbike. I've been doing more running for the Great north which was last week so did 13.1 miles. Got a sprint triathlon this weekend also.

So if fuelled right and took at a steady pace ie slow lol would it be doable?

Thanks

Trivially. it's possible to cycle at the same intensity as walking, and you have to be pretty unfit to not be able to walk for few hours. Hills of course can change that, up steep hills you my need to work harder than walking intensity due to gears, but still, worse that happens is you walk up them.

But certainly anyone who is vaguely fit won't have a problem with the distance. The only problem would likely be fit related, ie sore back, saddle or something from the position. Certainly not enough to make it difficult though!

It should be really easy by now after training for an ironman for 2 years. Get out and ride your bike.
