Has anyone managed to mount a through axle rear wheel onto a turbo?
The only way I can think of doing it is sawing a turbo skewer in half and inserting in both ends.
Is there a better way as this doesn't seem like a very safe way for hard efforts?

Cheers. I'm not paying that, I only need it for a week or so while my TT bike is at the shop.
Looks like I'll have to swim or something

Why are you bothering with your Canyon on the trainer, I thought your TT bike was on the turbo all the time? Seems like an unecesarry faff to me.

Correct, I haven't bought an adapter for that reason. Cool your jets and grab yourself a stubbie
