After years of paying through the nose for services we don't use with virgin I'm looking to change, currently we have a basic package from Virgin with a phone that never gets used (I accidently cut the wire 4 years ago, took us a year to notice), Broadband and the basic TV package.

Now I'm looking for a Broadband only service, nothing particularly fancy or fast we don't use a lot bandwidth it's most watching Netflix and music

and then a TV box, don't need a recording function, but I would like to be able to get Netflix etc through the TV as well as watching live TV. We live in a flat so have Ariel issues.

I was thinking of getting an apple TV as everything else is apple, but how does that work with live TV?

Don't want or need a land line

Aren't they all as bad/good as each other!

We're with Vodafone now, because as a blindly loyal mobile customer since '98, they offered me free line rental, so we get everything unlimited (no TV) for 25/month. I think line rental is normally 17.99 month? We were paying nearly 50 for BT Infinity Superfast Fibre (no TV) before that!

Vodafone is a option as the OH has been with them since the dark ages.

if you also have wifi off whatever broadband router you have then look at either getting a Roku (comes with Netflix) or using a Chromecast to cast from a phone or tablet. you don't need to spend as much compared to Apple TV and I don't know what arrangements free to air providers like BBC, ITV etc have with Apple.

Touchwood, Vodafone has been more reliable than BT Infinity too.
