You might want to get your accommodation fairly quickly, with 3000 athletes (& families) it can fill up fairly quickly, and Octoberfest is often on at the same time so lots of other people about.
But there's plenty of it, and most isn't far from the beach front, if you get it at the Barcelona end then you are near the finish line etc. but transition is only about 1k further up.
Oh, and give up getting frustrated about drafting otherwise you'll spoil your race, just try not to do it yourself.
