I am here on business and managed to wangle a sea swim (33 degree water!) this morning. Excellent. However it was a fair jaunt by taxi from the hotel. I will be staying in same one next time (in DIFC) and hoping to find one closer.

I went to Kite Beach a good few km out of town https://www.google.ae/maps/place/Kite+Beach/@25.1668942,55.2074612,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x3e5f41ffc7cb49bb:0xfd7d6d14e23b400b!8m2!3d25.1668942!4d55.2096499 ,

but there is also Jumeira publich beach shown on map here

https://www.google.ae/maps/place/Jumeira+Public+Beach/@25.2245186,55.2539363,15z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1sjumeirah+public+beach!3m4!1s0x3e5f424e6f1ab9f9:0x99fc460a1c367690!8m2!3d25.2278216!4d55.2573439

Some people have said that one is now closed due to construction . Any suggestions on the nearest one to Four Seasons DIFC? maybe @pete_h or @chris2 or @rggdxb can help?

Haven't been there for a few years, so may be shut with the canal development, but maybe have a look at the Jumeirah Beach Park - you have to pay entry, but you could swim lengths of the beach, then chuck in some running around the park perimeter as well.

As Ron says, Jumeirah beach mostly got replaced by the creek mouth.

Thereís a proper swimming pool next to DIFC in a hotel near the defence systems roundabout. I cannot remember what itís called though.

Thanks. Got a taxi to Sunset Mall beach and had stunning swim with TriDubai. First time ever I have had to get out from an OW swim for a drink due to being so warm. 33 is ludicrous!

Will look up the bigger pool
