Apologies for the usual "balanced journalism" from the Daily Mail, but another story of a cyclist jailed after hitting a pedestrian while riding a bike without brakes. This time the cyclist hit a child while illegally riding through a pedestrianized area. Again, the defendant comes across as particularly unlikeable and the incident happened last year, so long before the Alliston case.

I'm still regularly seeing cyclists riding around on track bikes with no brakes, so the message that you are potentially looking at jail time if you hit and injure someone clearly isn't getting through Rolling Eyes
