Oh is that what you wanted? Sometimes I just want a rant and some acknowledgement when I feel aggrieved. If it stops anyone getting hurt in future then good thing.

I would have settled for confirmation that next time the dog would be under control. An offer to pay for the jacket would be second on my list. Thirdly, if it happens again, confirmation that I won't be prosecuted if the owner ends up in the water.

Apologies JC I didn't realise the beast had shredded some kit, I think I would want same as you in that case.......I can imagine the owner getting launched into canal then being told to keep the stroke long and get body position up!

I returned to the scene of the crime and managed a whole run without being eaten... Smile

And the swim advice would be different if it happens again ..it'd be bubble bubble don't breathe...
