Big run week for me, given the inability to swim.

3 turbos - 4hrs (136k)
6 runs - 5hrs (62k), inc Surrey XC Champs yesterday

12 hours.... I need to vary.
4 turbos off 7 hours.
Only one hard.
4x s and c. 40 mins
2 swims
1x 23 min 5k at 132 bpm which was great as I really struggle to keep he down running.

Decent week for me last week, biggest TSS to date (hey I'm still a newbie, so it may not seem like much to you guys).

Bike x 3 - 110km
Run x 3 - 20km
Swim x 1 - 2km

Total TSS - 477

Decided on a training plan - no zero days, 25km running total per week (I've done 100km a month every month for two years now, but often had very low weeks) and at least one 1000kj ride unless the weather is truly awful when I can trade it for an indoor ride.

Did 8 hours by weds including a calf pain free run ... then got the worst man flu in the history of .. well man!
Nothing since......
This ones a shocker.

Last week looked much better:

Run x 4 17 miles 2hrs 43m
Bike x3 2hrs 18m, all turbo.
Swim x2 3600m 1hr 30m
Strength x 3 2hrs.

Still doing too much strength! Could have dropped one of those and had an extra swim.

Hoping to actually get out on the bike mid to end February, get some proper miles in.

Swim x 4 8700m
Bike x 4 124 miles
Run x 2 2.5 miles total...rehabbing from achilles injury pleased to be up to that distance without feeling any pain!
Strength...about 45 mins

Snowmageddon Scotland. Thankfully it's a recovery week and I didn't have much planned.

Off to Birmingham for 2 days with work tomorrow, I made sure the hotel has a gym with treadmills. Sadly, couldn't wangle one with a pool.

11 hours this week... all hour sessions ... Stennard and Jim!

Highlight was a 13.5 kph hour run that felt very very easy with an average hr of 152... that's very low for me.

More importantly calf is 100% and cold has gone.

Was going to have a family ride on zwift this evening, but I still haven't ridden indoors in ages!

Oh and I would've run longer, but todays run was cut short as my hands were too frozen to continue, even with the double gloves.

I actually ended up with two 2hr sessions (one bike, one run) this week Mungo! Lol. That said, what I was talking about before was my own approach to training last year. Being coached this year I'm just doing what I'm told!

3 swims for 6100m
3 turbos totalling 4hrs (143k of recorded distance, or using Tin Pot's metric, TSS of 251)
3 runs for 53k in 4hrs

Looking forward to getting back on the road when I get to Lanza next weekend. It's predominantly a relaxation week, but I'm going to hire a bike for a few days and hit up the Haria and Mirador sections of the IM course as I've not cycled that part of the island before. Other aim is to try and do some form of swimming every day. The rest of the time will be reading a variety of fiction books! Can't wait!
