Something new for us westcountry dwellers, a new 'reliability ride' which is supposedly very 'Flandrian' in it's route (sorry Parcours) and flavour. Anyway, I've entered for a bit of Spring motivation.

I'm going to crush it like Fabian van Boonen.

Maybe there is a spelling test rather than a feed station; you have to be able to correctly spell the names of these 5 belgian cyclists:

Maurice Desimpelaere
Roger de Vlaeckmink
Eric Vanderaerden
Eddy Planckaert
Greg van Avermaet

The zummerzet accent can be difficult.

http://cycleclassics.co.uk/tour-of-the-black-country-sportive/

We have this one round here with 22km of cobbles (and other dodgy surfaces) although as yamyams we consider that to be a modern road surface.

Potholes are worse; I never went over the bars riding on cobbles. I think the UK struggles for cobbles outside of old town centres.

Cobbles in an Ironman on the bike & run, in 40 deg heat....now that's a proppa challenge Wink
