74.3kg !
That's not heavy for a 6 footer. |
Me and Jorgan are the same weight at the minute, although I'm about 1cm taller, my scales reckon 10% bf, random number generators are good... |
Are you suggesting my £24.99 Weight Watchers scales from Argos aren't state-of-the body-analysing art? |
I bought a set of "reputable make" scales from Amazon for £24.99. The weight is spot on, apparently my body fat is 28% though

73.6 and 9.7% so I win! |
Yeah, but I haven't played my joker. The bowel movement. |
Last week I wasn't training as I was ill. Started again this week and that gets the pipes moving. I'm banking on an enormous #@?# yielding at least a 1kg loss. |
This thread's going down the tubes. |
you're just talking sh1t now.... |
No need for the potty mouth.

73.7 again, that's it I've plateaued. I'm still surprised to be this light in mid January mind you.

73.2 pulling ahead nicely, the lead may well be insurmountable soon.

It's fish and chip day at lunch. Huge test of willpower coming up as I have to walk past the chip counter to get to the soup. Could be bumpy...

That's only because you have zero swimming muscles
I think the lightest I've been since I was a student was before Frankfurt '15 when I was 71.5; that was on the previous scales, so possibly lighter looking at these current ones. I was massively into the coconut oil thing that year. When I was 20 I was 69kg with a VO2 of 73.1 (lab tested)....that was a long time ago. I'll take the current numbers, given I'm 44 next month.

How do you fuel after a large early morning session of say 90-120 mins?
I feel like I should eat a full meal of meat & veg but don't have the time or really want to at 7:30 am but then I get really really hungry later and want to eat cr@p.

After my fasted/zero calorie Sunday morning rides at this time of year (2.5-3h), I rarely get that 'raid the cupboard' feeling when I get back; if I do it's because I've worked too hard to tap into the right energy sources.
These rides could be the reason I'm pretty light for mid January, as I didn't do them years ago; I only started zero calorie rides last winter, and fasted/zero cal a few months ago. We're talking undulating 70km rides with 6-800m climbing at 26-27kph to avoid the bonk.

I normally train fasted. If its a longer morning session I fuel up the night before. Some more carbs etc. I take some gels / bar with me in case I start to feel low in energy. Sometimes its hard to predict. I've done 3 hours on the bike with nothing before and other times after 45 minutes I feel empty and have to take a gel. Swimming always makes me really hungry. Running a little it. Bike really doesn't

A waif like 65.8kg for me this morning (i'm 5'8"). Probably goes someway to explain the recent 'outperforming' at X-country.
16% bodyfat according to my scales which isnt so encouraging. I reckon i'd be winning if i could give away this 5kg of extra blubber i'm apparently carrying around....

2 weeks on a vegan diet and I'm feeling leaner: Monday's weigh in will be interesting. Hoping for a decent drop.

I'll have you know I uploaded a swim to strava just last week, when did you last swim?

My lightest was 69.9, not at a time I was actually competing at anything at all, and it was only one day, normally when I'm mentally fit, healthy and regularly exercising I move in the 71.5 to 73 range without any real effort. I'm already 44 of course, and my VO2 was nowhere near 73 when I was 20, would've been close to that at around 40 though. (66 at 75.6kg when I considerably less fit than later)
