Hi ALL...I have massive calves circa 16in circumference..Ive had a snugg nade to measure suit for 10yrs and feel technology has moved on so worth investing in a new suit. Are there any brands which cater for large calved athletes or am I best going back to SNUGG for another made to meaure one ?
Thanks...

I'm no expert, but I doubt if "big calves" is an option that most of the mainstream off-the-peg wetsuit manufacturers cater for .
I'm an ex-rower, so definitely not a standard shape for a triathlete. I used Orca suits for years before switching to Snugg and the comfort and ease of getting on and off were a revelation when I switched to a made-to-measure suit. I don't think I'd go back now. I don't think the features (Gimmicks?) of a top end off-the-peg suit would outweigh the compromises on fit for me.

My calfs are about 15", I use a Helix with no problems, on the actual back calf area they use a nylon mesh material on my suit (about 3 years old) which has a bit more stretch on it than neoprene.
I think a fair few high range suits do these days, and probably mid-range ones as well, fairly sure a bit of nylon will be cheaper than neoprene.

Thanks Jeff..I need suport in legs to stop them sinking & maybe nylon reduces buoyancy ? Will check out Helix tho..
