Hi all,

I've been having my usual ordeal when it comes to finding items of clothing that fit me correctly, and after ordering around 10 wetsuits have found one that feels tight, yet doesn't take 5 minuites to take off. However, I'm worried about the underarm area as I've read online that it should be flush to the skin, with no space or room for air, but this one has, and I can't work out if that's permissable or it will cause me issues during the swim.

This is for my first Sprint tri in 4 weeks, but I'd like to use it for my future races, and as they're not cheap I want to be happy with it Very Happy

Here's a video showing the fit of the underarm: https://youtu.be/y51FaXZRT2w

My measurements…
Weight: 84.5kg (186lb)
Height: 6’ 4”
Chest: 40.5”
Waist: 33”

The suit in question is a 2XU P:1 in size Large Tall with the following size guide numbers:
Weight: 84-94kg (185-207lb)
Height: 5’ 11”- 6’ 5”
Waist: 33 1/2” - 35”
Chest: 40 1/2” - 40 1/8”

Thanks for the help!

Looks fine mate
You obviously need to be able to rotate the shoulder.

My new suit is slightly tighter your neoprene looks much more stretchy.

The acid test is swimming in it.

As long as there's no sloshing about your good to go.

Enjoy your race

Thanks for the reply.

On articles like this one https://aquamantri.com/wetsuit-on-and-off-instructions/ it says there shouldn’t be a ‘bouncy’ part under the arm pit, which is what has me worried, as there are ‘bouncy’ parts underarm on mine.
