Not done it myself, but it depends which wheels you want. I found this one online, and it looks to be very good value for Zipp wheels. 606 wheelset is £59 for a long weekend or £80 for a week by the looks of it. http://www.cyclohire.co.uk/carbonwheelsetrental.html
Our old friends at 'ship my tri bike' are asking €230 to lend you some Zipps if you're already shipping your bike to an event with them. No thanks.

200 ishwillget you some pre owned 10 speed carbon wheels.
Tubs can be even cheaper as most people don't want them.
Planet X, novatec etc are all perfectly usable unless you weigh 100 kgs plus, produce more power than Lionel or ride on really really bad roads.
I bought some unbranded clinchers 170 off flea bay just to keep the miles off my good sets.
Disappointingly I can't really tell the difference?!
And no issues in 7 months.
They even came with tyres and skewers.
