Lovely new folks (and old) of TriTalk...

...does anyone have one of these they’re looking to offload?

Thomas!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I should stick around here, and start posting a bit more again. Great to see you back on the bike again, and getting back into sport. I for one have become a bit jaded with Tri myself, as one inevitably does after 10+ seasons of it a second time around. Having a bit of a 'down year' this year, no long distance and no more races in the calendar this year; maybe just a couple of shorts ones.

Anyway, Suunto watches....can't help you there. Sorry, but hopefully someone can Smile

Not the wrist HR version I'm afraid. I do have the version with the chest strap, brand new, that I really don't need (won in a comp). Was talking to my mum about her having it, but it doesn't look like she can actually be bothered!

Stenard...is it swim compatible?
What's the model and number (so that I can Ask Jeeves about it)

not too bothered about the optical HR, the unit just looks good and DC Rainmaker gave it a good review, plus they seem reasonably priced for what they can do.

How much are you looking at?

Cheers Very Happy

I saw repoman the other day and he informed me Facebook has just about killed off the forum and ones like it.

Yeah, hammerer and graeme4130 inspired me to start again, bloody Facebook Wink
The four extra stone I now have was also an impetus to get back on a bike

Yes, it does all the swim stuff. The Suunto HR strap even does the live caching of swim HR data.
It's this one, black, with HR strap: https://www.suunto.com/en-GB/Products/sports-watches/Suunto-Spartan-Sport/Suunto-Spartan-Sport-Black-HR/

I just can't use it as I have an ant+ only power meter.

I was originally looking for £200+ when I got it. A club member offered £150 which was a too low that I decided to keep it / potentially donate to my mum.

Cheers, but I wouldn’t be looking to pay more than £150 either.

But it's full of c0cks. I joined 'The Ironman Journey' group for a while, but it was a joke tbh. Full of clueless attention seekers, who do things like invent rip tides as an excuse for missing swim cut-offs..... maybe they should actually do some proper swim training Rolling Eyes

No probs. I should have probably been clear that I'd be happy taking under the the £200+ mark now. Although £150 still feels like kinda giving it away. It's worth holding onto at that price as a backup in case my Garmin even went kaput
