Yes, the strap does feel a bit flimsy, certainly compared to the 920. But then I got through 3 straps on that!

I don't keep the wrist HRM on, so that saves battery. I use a chest strap when I'm training/racing and the battery should last a long time if you do that and disable the optical HRM e.g. for an Ironman or Audax.

surprising that i am getting a lower HR in the day than at night...although i have a stinking cold at present...
