Hi TT, I did Llanberis and Sherbourne. I prefered Sherbourne although the swim wasn,t as good as Wales.

Good one.

I think I would go with Llanberis. Despite having a better race in Sherborne, and it only being a 2hour train journey from London, I just thought Llanberis was beautiful.

The quary on one side of the lake and the lights of the town on the other were great as the sun rose. The bike leg was a lot more fun especially climbing up to Beddgelert and the long descent. And the run up and down the pass was a real challenge.

I didn't do Sherbourne, but I did do Llanberis. I thought Llanberis was a good course. Beautiful scenery, especially at the top of the long bike climb, looking down on the lakes. Sure the run up to and back down the pass was tought, but you were always seeing other competitors. The only downside to the event for me was the bloody constant rain. I'll do sherbourne next year if it goes up to full distance but not if it stays half.
