Is anyone doing Bala next week? I am coming down and was wondering if anyone has experience of the course. I have looked at the course map & profile on the web, but still good to get feedback for those who have completed it.

Is the bike really a flat out and back and how hilly is the run?

Don't get too excited, can't help you Catwalk, sorry, Shocked Only just found out where Bala is never mind anything else Confused Had a quick look on the web site but didn't delve too much -guessed you'd already done that and just wanted some first hand info (as you said Rolling Eyes )I don't like to see a lonely thread, waiting for a response, so you got me Exclamation Anyway it suggests it's full so you'll have plenty of company. Other than that -good luck, and apols if I got your hopes up Wink

Hi,

I'm doing this one, not sure what the course profile is as this is my first Bala event. I've only been told that the bike section is fast with a good hill to run up at the start of the run section. Sad

I really enjoyed the race, swim was a bit choppy on the way out, bike was superb and fast, run what can be said except that bloody hill. Still really enjoyed it and will be back for more. Definatley worth doing.
