Yep. I've had the sore throat, achey body, headache and the extreme tiredness since the day after boxing day. However the children do not accept the concept that Mummy is poorly and needs rest! Oh and Tony was ill too - obviously much worse than me Shocked Mad So I just had to carry on because according to him the rule is that only one of us can be ill at a time Crying or Very sad And it was his turn.......again! Mad

I'm confused - on the job thread you said that you are a shepherd. So does "getting dumped on when you get back" mean exactly that? And I didnt know that there were sheep in coventry??

Jesus was a carpenter and was often likened to a shepherd, although I'm pretty sure he didn't consider his sheep "sexy" as such*. Is there something you'd like to tell us? Frankly - and no disrespect intended (particularly if you are indeed the Messiah) - I would be somewhat taken aback

* Each to their own though Rob, so if inter-species erotica rolls your dice then who am I to comment?

so yesterday was supposed to be my first day back to work, phoned in sick due as doc said on monday( out of hours surgery) that would be better to have a couple of more days to get over it.
went in today, got a phone call from my manager.
i am now on a discaplinary as new company policy says that anyone who has two or more days off sick in a 3 month period will be on a discplinary.
my last sick day was 17 october, 1 or only 2 sick days i had off all last year.
really what is the point of going it work when i'll, as when you are genuinley sick, they penalise you for it Mad Mad Rolling Eyes

Can you not get a doctor's note (I know you only normally get one if you are off for more than 4 days but most docs will charge you for a private note) and use this as a justification to get rid of the disciplinary?

if you have legitimate proof then surely they have to rescind the disciplinary action?

I mean what would happen if you had been ill with the flu one week then got hit by a car and hospitalisedd the next or had a workplace accident that put you off work. Would they discipline you for that too?
