Hi, just found this forum and thought I would introduce myself. Been posting on the US Trinewbies site but it's good to find a UK site.
Don't have much Triathlon history only one to my name, but it is a seriously addictive sport. Just recently started swimming with a triathlon club and loving it. Better go do some work now.

Welcome to TT Nicla - there seems to be a growing Scottish contingent on here!

I tried posting a couple of things on trinewbies a while back before I found TT but was pretty well ignored. It's much nicer here! I don't seem to get much work done though.

Hello Nicola and welcome...

there are a lot of triathlon newbies on here, and you're ahead of some of us by actually taking part in one tri. I'm hoping to do one next year.

Here's hoping!

i seem to be practically a veteran on here having done all of 4 tris.. and numerous duathlons.

...another to up the ante - welcome to TT-world, Nicola!

Like slowpoke, I think I'm more hooked onto TT than the triathlons themselves! Certainly more than work, anyways.... Razz

Greetings!

Yes, as Chief Chirpa pointed out, you're not the only newbie here by a long way. I've yet to do any TRI of any description, or any kind of race in fact (bar a mountain biking catastrophe ten years ago), but next Spring all that will change!

My 'training' has begun, my 101 Triathlon book has arrived, and once I've chosen a quality 'sprint' length event, I'll be gunning for last position!

Welcome again... they really are a great bunch on here!
