I bought a small Orca wetsuit. I paid 200 for it. Have I been ripped off? Confused

Depends.

Was it new?

What model is it?

I've got the speedsuit. I got it for around 180 from Total Fitness Bath. I'm very pleased with it so far.

Was it new? If yes then that's exactly what I paid in the sales last Christmas. My one is a SS Predator2.

That's what I paid for mine last year, and that's still the list price, if it's a speedsuit.

Upgraded a month ago to Predator 2 since I had lost so much weight thorugh triathlon training the old suit didn't fit me properly. Shocked

Can't help with the wet suit but you're getting a whole Ironman race on March 20th at Nelson Mandella Bay (where ever that is). That'll have the usual stalls and shops that go with the race.

Now you'll tell me you live right across the other side of the country? Very Happy

Nope, thats what i'm training for, got an Olympix distance next weekend and a sprint in December. Alas tris are thin on the ground in Western Province, which i find amazing given the climate and the run/bike mentality here. There are 200 entrants so far for IM SA, and a lot from overseas given that you can get a flight for about 300 quid.

I looked at it breifly but the lengths of time of the flight put me off. You had to change somewhere then make a second flight across to the race. In all, I think it was close to 20 hours of travelling. Never having flown, I thought that might be a bit too far for a first go!

Flights direct to Cape Town then either a drive or a 1 hour flight to Port Elizabeth. I'm driving from CT to keep the costs down. The flights are also generally overnighters, so you dont lose a day and theres only a 1 or 2 hour time difference. I'm pretty sure the level of competition would be lower than in Europe, but i'm not sure how many Hawaii places are up for grabs.
