Used to work at a state school, quite deprived area, that would suspend pupils getting a 1 even if just at lower back and sides. Crazy priorities.

I dunno - there was a style there that was just a bit different to the monochrome style that many kids have these days. there's a lad locally with a cracking afro hairdo- think 1970's Jackson 5 - which he wears with some class. no doubt he gets the piss ripped out of him though.

My school was the same growing up. No idea if the same rules still apply there, but this article says it does in some places.

The sad thing about this story is what message it sends to the friend who has cancer and may well lose their hair naturally through treatment. Crying or Very sad
