this will be the 1st Thorpe Tri event I won't be a TO at for 3 years - have already done the TE Sprint Champ event and standard as Chief TO this season, but as this is a ETU Qualifier, the BTF have appointed a different TO as Chief for that so I won't be there.

I quite enjoyed this one. I've been training for an ultra marathon, so wasn't expecting to have any sprint speed, but I think the strength in my legs transferred well to the flat bike and run. After running for 3hrs recently, it was all over before it had begun. May even have qualified, which I wasn't expecting so we'll see when they updated the BTF page.

Stayed with the kids to feel sick on a few rides later on. Seriously I used to love this stuff, but now... Embarassed Embarassed Idea

Well done, first sprint for me in about 15 years...I enjoyed the race. I paid my 10 to BTF during the week to see what happened....was 5th in AG, 10 seconds behind 2nd, top 4 qualify Laughing

Depending what time the winner in your AG did you'll probably get in. I got the email confirming a place this week and, more importantly, have official confirmation i can attend from the wife.. Smile

Well done Iain & Sid, I strained a calf the Monday before the race and it went again in the first km of the run so I DNF'd. Don't think I'd have qualified anyway but I think worrying about the calf affected my swim and it definitely slowed down my transitions.
