A few comments on shorter cranks, but I struggle to see how that would help with a fit to the naked eye (the naked eye part being the important bit). Is say 2.5 - 5mm change going to have such a dramatic effect on the visible hip angle or are you thinking something more drastic?

2.5 - 5mm off the cranks would probably look the same to our eyes right, in which case surely we'd all be saying "shorter cranks required" again.

Could be wrong though so I suggest TinPot goes out and buys some and then puts some pictures up to satisfy my curiosity Wink

Nice try amigo, but the guru fit pick is on 155s already.

It is indeed minor changes, and it's not the hip angle that changes. With shorter crank I can shift further forward and get lower for the *same* hip angle. So what changes is the torso angle.

21.something° on 172.5s.
19.2° on 155s

And as above it looks like I'm c.20° on 165s.

I didn't feel much difference when we played around with these, the biggest change was getting the seat over the BB and feeling the muscle group change...much more powerful feeling.

Wink

I take the bike apart to go to every race. When I got to Exmoor the saddle had moved, I can't find the photo or notes I took before so used measurements from my fitting.

So you could say, I'm trying to get back to the setup I've been using since March.

Hookah, spent a little more time looking at the bike and photos...realised the photo was angled down slightly...readjusted it and remeasured the angles and it's pretty much bang on but for the elbows which I shuffle forward sometimes anyway:
