It does sell out quickly as does the accommodation as there are relatively few hotel rooms especially considering the number of athletes.

Do it.. I will envy you and you will love it!!

At the risk of being considered to be spamming the site, I thought I would just leave a direct link to my write up of Copenhagen 2018 in an existing thread.

There's a fair bit of stuff in the report (and the couple of posts I did in the days before the race in terms of the usual pre-race Ironman "faff") that might be of interest for anyone searching for info on the event in the future.

Stuff like the OP's question about the concerns of a split transition are, for example, not an issue whatsoever. The public transport is so good, and runs 24/7, that there was no logistical headaches whatsoever. Indeed, being a capital city centre race, with the airport only a 15 minute train ride away, meant it was probably one of the easiest races I've ever done on that front.

Great write up Stenard and congratulations on going sub 10! I PBíd too 😀 our swim and bike experiences were weirdly similar - I cut across the shallow section of the swim (face full of weeds wasnít great but def quicker), got tangled in the rope and also felt like it was a constant headwind on the bike. Also saw a lot of drafting, doesnít particularly bother me as Iím not at the pointy end of the race but really just canít see the point of cheating! All the best for your next event.

Thanks. And congrats on your pb too! You've managed so summise the keys points of the day a lot more succinctly than I did in my circa 10,000 words! Haha
