I'm considering the Isoman for something different next year.
Who's done it? Thoughts about it?

Couple off issues here. As already pointed-out, these events really are ridiculously swim biased. The second is a simple knowledge of maths/geometry; it should be 'Equman' as in equilateral triangle' Rolling Eyes

The classic Nice distance is the best example of how to present a more even long distance event: 4/120/30. It's not about equal time on the events, but in equalising the time advantages between disciplines; they seem to have completely missed that. A fine example is Outlaw: Sid Snot put nearly 10 min into me in the swim, which took me 180km to claw back. If the swim had been 7 miles, it would have taken me about 500km Rolling Eyes

That Nice race distance does make more sense to me than the Isoman. Isoman is such a niche race given that it's only going to appeal to triathletes (a small ish number), who do long course (even smaller number) who actually like swimming (tiny number).

But as you say, Sidsnot is a much better than average swimmer, so why not go for it, it will capitalise on your ability.

Thumbs Up I'm guessing by your username, like me, you're more swim biased in Tri's

Yeah competitive club swimmer until 5 years ago. Tried 10k at GNS last year as something different to the couple of minutes in a pool event, triathlon was this years challenge.
