Buy books about running, tri etc.

Read (while drinking, apparently).

Rediscover mojo and get back out there base-building.

I've had my blues and am just starting to crank things up again. My last three runs have all felt fun again, even though i'm blinking unfit from the laziness and drinking and eating! haha

Normally take a few weeks off swimming (like outdoor swimming, dislike pool swimming) and do a little bit of cycling / turbo if weather is rubbish and otherwise do some trail running including a race once per month. This year however I am trialling complete rest with G&T because I broke my ankle! Whilst doing aforementioned trail running. Very Happy. Training starts in New Year. Will be interesting to see how different this is compared to normal.

I've decided to add EA affiliation to my club membership, and try and give some XC a bash. Something different and all that.

I do naff all until Jan 1st when training for the new season starts. Or rather, nothing geared towards anything but having fun abusing my summer fitness to break friends on the local MTB trail.

Getting drunk as SGreg suggests is great as well. If you have trained properly then you'd be off in a drunken stupor after two pints. I'm such a drinking lightweight when in training. Cheap!

You have no idea how much this has cheered me up. After an operation I am not able to do anything, other than sit on a turbo trainer - no running, no swimming. 2017 has ended for me, but plan to get back to training in 2018. Can't wait for next season already, but am being good and not letting frustration get the better of me. Time to catch up with lots of friends and get drunk Very Happy

Just been on holiday

I got drunk

Then brought lots of cheap duty free back with me to keep the party going.

Done nothing since September 10th despite taking all my running gear away with me.

I might think about putting some running shoes on this week....maybe.

Deffo going swimming on Friday Laughing

then getting drunk
