I think that the the Secretary General of the United Nations recognises my potential and seems happy for me to take his job one day.Wink

Got a lovely message from him, personally, last night, offering me a share of a 500 million dollar fund. But for some strange reason I am not allowed to tell anyone.

Boy are these scammers getting creative.

Pssst, I can pass your name on for a share if you want.....but you will have to keep it secret.

Perhaps I just don't get many of them? (That I notice anyway)

I tend to get stuck with beautiful women who want to be my friend. Could be worse I suppose! I am getting one of those hot babes everyday or two just now.

Whisk, thank you, my mind just does not work that way well (banter).

Mind you I would have the United Nations being a real United Nations if I could, a sort of federal world, like a big EU!

Sloggers now dives for cover.

Ask a Bosniak Muslim how effective the UN is, or a Rwandan Tutsi....

Or the women who allegedly got sex trafficked by UN aid workers, or the sacking of the UN staff member who whistle blew. Or the nations who allegedly use the UN as a means to pay their troops.

The UN today does do a lot of good, but it has a seriously long way to go before it achieves its potential. But if it could get there through the politics and pressures of all nations, our world would be more stable and secure. This would allow the development of new opportunity, perhaps as we develop space.

the politics and pressures are conflicting, hence the limited progress...

if they had just stuck to their mission statement instead of empire building...

Empire building is a common human nature trait of darkness Ejc. CEOs do it, Politicians do it, Football club managers do it, gang leaders do it, etc.

It's all to easy once you get the reigns of power (or get promoted from a job you are competent at to one your not) for your ego to take over, you feel invincible and off you trot. Not that I have ever done anything like that mind....

If more leaders, in whatever field, could understand more about how the darker side of our human natures become empowered and out of balance, empire building would be much less of an issue.

Power corrupts and all that.
