Finger hovering over the late entry button ...

Not much training been going on in my world this past 18 months, although TBH I have improved my cycling speed.

That would be required since I got timed out on the bike by 3 minutes for IM Wales 2015.

First open water swim tomorrow morning since early 2017.

15 mile run Sunday morning (not exceeded 10 miles in over a year on road or trails)

Then decision time Sunday afternoon.

Been pretty decent so far, good volume and consistency. Did Long Course weekend with 1:07/6:06/3:33 across the 3 events.

Digging in for the final push through August, currently recovering from the insanity of a 12 hour time trial (259 miles!), so I think I'll be ok with the distance....

Last 'event' will be the Ely Monster Middle distance on Aug 19th

I'd like to get around 11 hours (previous IM Wales were 11:54, 11:45, 11:13) but this is only on if conditions are good - another nasty day and it's survival....

Nice...Oooh...12 hour time trial...yeah the distance will be fine for you.

Same goal of under 11 for me too, similar times for last 2 IM Wales in 2014 and 2015 (11:52, 11:24)...we'll have to give each other a nudge out on the course...

Swim and bike are there...working on the run for the last couple of weeks

Ok for me, also did LCW and Steelman last weekend. Having a couple of days rest then back in to a final solid training block.

I think on that course, if you can get your swimming and biking up to standard (to make the cut-offs comfortably), then you can walk/run the marathon.

A branded Ironman is an expensive 'suck it and see' though.

90% of the field is walk/run at IM Wales. Very Happy
