I have no idea - I've not been allowed to do business in Europe without setting up a local business entity. That's not free trade in my book.

Banking software for example is a disastrous mess because of the prevalence of Indian code-monkeys.

Thats utter bollocks. I work in banking software, we use highly skilled programmers (like me) with 20 years + experience as most of the code is still in COBOL and no one knows it or chooses to learn it. Most of the Indian body shops are for mobile apps written in JAVA. Id love to know this banking software mess you speak of?

Now what a lot of banks are sending to India, Asia or Ireland is UAT testing.

And in this weeks Economist “Northern Italy is not asking for independence, yet”

Shocked

There is a lot in both the East and the West that could bring the EU down. Somehow I think that it will survive.

Catalonia’s President is a brave man though knowing that treason charges could well be coming his way, if Spain carries that threat out.

With all this and some Brexiteers think that it is in the EUs interest to give us a good deal! Seriously.

Spain already has 40% youth unemployment rate from the EU, what more could they want?

It's interesting that (I believe) the EU's strategy has been a sort of 'divide and conquer' across Europe. They've encouraged decentralisation of power from capitals to regions in the expectation this will help undermine their greatest threat - nationalism. By encouraging break-ups of nations into smaller, regional entities they think societies will lose their national identities and, therefore, more willingly fall into line under the EU banner. And, of course, they're smaller and therefore weaker to be able to fight it. (All very USSR).

Now they're reaping the reward... and it's rather got out of hand.

And I'm so sad about it.

Not.
