77.1kg. The heaviest I have been in a long while.

I want to get down to 69kg by June when my Important events are. While most of my meals are fairly healthy I have lost all my discipline by snacking excessively between meals. So, no bread or crisps (my real weakness) or chocolate. I have put together a snack drawer in my kitchen with low calorie crackers, rice cakes etc. For when I do want something. I'm also going to stop having second helpings at meals when I don't need it. Hopefully, some genuine free speed over the more lumpy events I will be doing.

I was 76.3 KG's a few days ago, haven't been too bad over Christmas apart from an ice cream today after a fell race.

Would like to get down to ~73 but not very optimistic, have been generally eating better the last few months anyway.

Also trying to have the 12 hour fast each day which apparently has various benefits, not always that easy if you train on an evening though.

Ok, let's put all these 70s & 80s into context.

106.4 kg on New Years day, looking to get down to 90kg. 1kg per week (2lbs) would take me until about May so race season is the target.

Will weigh tonight but around 95+kg

need to get that right down.

EDIT:

97KG currently, but I use lbs.

so 214lbs or 15 stone 4 lbs.

Ouch, Race weight last year was 13 stone in September!

Target this year is <14 stone as its a year "off"

*leaps into thread*

Raced at around 71kg last year. I'd like to be around 69kg this year, training at around 70kg then racing a bit lighter.

Weighed in at 72.7kg this morning and it begins.

I'm going Vegan in January as an experiment to see how it goes and to get some weight off. Dairy/cheese/yoghurt/butter kills me.

Gave up alcohol some years ago, so there's no fix giving that up....

There is no pretty way of posting this, so here goes….

01/01/2018 – 14 stone 6.4 pounds (91.8kg) – A new personal worst. Sad

For comparison…

15/08/2005 - 10 stone 13 pounds (69.4kg).

Clearly the fact I haven’t trained properly in years has really caught up with me.

So I plan to restart my training slowly and see how I get on.

Cheers, Paul. Smile

Peaked at 74.8 on New Year's Day! My birthday!
The highest for four years.
72.4 an hour ago and hoping for near 70 for first race in March.
Be nice to race at 70kg all year but weight isn't the most important factor.

My aim last year was to shed weight and be ready in Jan. Failed utterly. Got ill and so spent all of Dec drinking and eating crap.

Current at 109Kg. Aiming for 90Kg race weight. Going to go hard for 6 weeks to shed as much as I can then will taper off and lose more slowly.

I put on weight easily but when I start losing it it falls off.

Back in the summer I was at 95Kg and was going great. Always happens!

71.7kg last Friday. I always weigh myself on a Friday so expect it to be worse this week.

Looking to get down to 68kg by May (my first ever tri).

Biggest downfall is evening snacking, crisps and biscuits are a major weakness. On weekends, I can down a family bag of crisps Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I'm likely not eating enough during the day, time to use My Fitness Pal again.

Nice one people.

There will be a February weigh in; you have all been warned! Wink

Will be interested to see how the Veganism goes. I was veggie for a few years but fell off the wagon, although we do not each much meat in our house. For example, we usually have quorn instead of mince beef for chillis, spaghetti. bols etc. I am hoping that by focussing on some healthy eating my weight will naturally come down.

PaulL. Good to have you aboard mate and glad you're back in TT world.

This morning, 89.9kg. I've lost 10kg since getting a dog. Good dog. The obvious thing to do is get another dog. And here he is...
