I know its mostly water but good for morale when you have been hungry all week.

2.5 kg in a week?

Yep. Always happens first week. I think my body must like retaining water when I eat and drink a lot and as soon as I stop it sheds weight really quickly. I suspect I will only lose 1KG a week from now on. That's all I am currently targeting with my calorie reduction.

Usually hover around 76kg, raced Outlaw at 73kg. Least ever exercise since but still bit of a shock to see 82 over Christmas, never been above 78 before.

77.1kg. The heaviest I have been in a long while.

I want to get down to 69kg by June when my Important events are. While most of my meals are fairly healthy I have lost all my discipline by snacking excessively between meals.

Heaviest I have been in quite a while too.....79kg on Jan 1st and normally race at 73kg.

Started new job in Sept last year which took up any spare time. So little or no training and carried on eating like I was still training 8hrs a week.

Two key races are in Aug and Sept so have until end of March to shift the weight so not carrying the kilos for the main training stint. 2kg a month is therefore the goal for the next 3 months.

Same here, 2.8kg last week but know it will get much harder as each week goes on.

Our digital scales have been on the blink for nearly a year now, so I have no idea. All my trousers still fit though, and still on the smallest belt hole.

That's over 5kg variation in my weight.

Bit the bullet this morning and weighed myself.

91.4kg The heaviest I've ever been. When we did this last year I was 91kg and got down to 83kg without really trying before March. As I've said before Rolling Eyes I've definitely got the ability to get to sub 80kg.

Here is the plan. Eat at 8am, 10:30am, 1pm, 3:30pm & 6/7pm. The 10:30 & 3:30 are snacks (nuts, protein shake/bar).

If I cut out the sugar, cake, biscuits & chocolate and stay full & hydrated I can do it. I actually REALLY want to this year, I've been kidding myself in the past.

My plan

Intermittent fasting

Eat at lunch and 6:30pm

Plus calories sandwiched around exercise

I like Sandwiches

Are burgers Sandwiches? If so I really like sandwiches...and Cake has filing so technically a sandwich?

I think I lost my train of thought...I only had soup for lunch.

Finally bought some new scales yesterday. This morning I weighed-in at 74.3kg which I was quite pleasantly surprised by. Apparently I'm 18% body fat, which I am a little surprised by though (182cm), although I'd never claim to be particularly lean. That does put me in the middle of the healthy bracket for my age mind you, so I'll take that in early January.

Jorgan
74.3kg !
That's not heavy for a 6 footer.
Plus if I go too light at this time of year I get a cold.

Funny old thing....I do! It's not like I didn't go in for drinking nearly everyday I was off work too (almost 3 weeks) and ate lots of cheese, Xmas pudding, biscuits, chocolates etc. Maybe I have a tapeworm. It was the busiest Christmas we've had with various social functions, long-weekend to the In-Laws before Xmas, and now all the kids stuff as they're getting older, but not self-sufficient. Rife for picking-up a lurgy.
